Margarita and David came down from Maryland to sign their wedding contract and to have some photos taken in January. They had worked with the nice folks at the Oaks Victorian Inn Bed and Breakfast on getting us access to both the inside of the bed and breakfast and their beautiful garden for their engagement session. David’s mom surprised them at their wedding with album from their engagement, I liked it so much I ordered myself one as a sample!
Emily and Brett came in from Richmond, Virginia for their pre-wedding meeting. We had a bit of coffee at Mill Mountain Coffee then hit the streets for a couple of engagement photos. We could really only stand the cold and dreary day for a few frames, but they had enough adorable shots to put some framed out on tables at their wedding!
Angela and Patrick’s engagement photos were taken at the Salem Fair one day when it was over 100 degrees and we could only stand the heat for about half an hour. I’ve always wanted to take photos with a carnival or fair as the backdrop so I was thrilled when they agreed to this location! It is a lot harder taking photos on a carousel than one might think. I hope I get to do some more photos at the fair again this year (and that it is a more bearable temperature).
Natalie and Ryan are Virginia Tech architecture alumni. They came down to Blacksburg to have their engagement photos taken at their alma mater. Most of the fall leaves had already fallen, but the weather was beautiful!
Last, but not least are Ryan and Laura. Their engagement sessions were taken by the Duck Pond at Virginia Tech where Laura’s parents were married. I just saw one of these photos in the Roanoke Times last weekend for their engagement announcement!
